iphone5-j-1So you think iPhone 4S was the greatest creation ever made with the war that is happening in this era of technological warfare? Well, think again, open your eyes and you’ll see. Yes, Apple gained the upper hand again with the release of its latest iPhone 5 last September 12, 2012, surpassing its predecessor iPhone 4S with a remarkable figure of over 2 million pre-orders within the first 24 hours, 5 million within 3 days of its release. Thinner by 18%, the aluminum body is 0.30 in (7.6 mm) thick and is lighter by 20%, perhaps there might be some truth to its claim as the thinnest Smartphone in the world.
With its newest mobile operating system iOS6 and LTE integrated support; it also includes ARMv7 processor known as Apple A6. The iPhone 5 uses Apple A6, 1.3 GHz processor dual-core, 1GB of RAM and PowerVR SGX543MP4, a tri-core running at 266 MHz. The operating memory is 1 GB, while storage capacities are at 16, 32 or 64 GB like the 4S and it does not have memory card support. Available in black (black glass with slate-colored metal trim), and white (white ceramic trimmed with silver metal), same as 4S. It can also perform hotspot task, giving out internet connection thru WiFi, Bluetooth, or USB. And with T-Mobile announcing the entry of iPhone 5 on their handset lists, it marks the availability if iPhone on all major, nationwide carriers in the United States together with AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint.
Want to send SMS without using your hands? Try opening your mouth, voice out your message and in an instant, your message has been sent. With iMessage, texting was made easier with the help of a voice assistant that converts speech to text, aside from the native use of keyboard. Do not worry for misspelled words; it also comes with multi-language spell-checker. This feature also allows unlimited text messaging, as well as attachment of images and sound, to other idevices running on iOS 5 or later.
iPhone 5 also comes with Siri, the voice activated app that allows users to use it by spoken commands. It has the ability to make restaurant reservations, open apps, post of Facebook or Twitter, check out latest movie reviews and sports updates. Facebook can now be directly accessed from built-in apps like Calendar, Cameras, and Photos among other apps. Apple’s built-in Maps app, replaced Google Maps, with its spoken turn-by-turn navigation directions, detailed 3D views in selected cities and up-to-date, real-time traffic monitoring.
You will also be able to access documents like passes, coupons, tickets, and cards through the innovative Passbook app that can be scanned using a reader to process a payment at any locations with compatible system. Find My iPhone app makes it easier to locate and protect your missing Apple device.
Included on their package, of course, are the Apple Lightning connector which can be inserted either way round, and the Apple EarPods, designed to allow air to travel in and out more freely.
Truly, Apple’s iPhone 5 will make other Smartphone manufacturers think hard before they decided on their future releases.
